Lavender Lemonade

On Thursday April 13th, 2023 we will be serving our Lavender Lemonade at this wonderful event "Graze at the Fields" at the Carlsbad Flower Fields. This recipe is made with our zero pesticide/herbicide Lemons and French Lavender we grow on the farm. Our bees love our lavender and I know you will too!
Lavender Lemonade
Make a simple syrup:
boil 1 cup water
1 cup sugar, you can use raw if you want.
then put in a 2 cup pyrex glass measuring cup and add 1/3 cup dried French lavender buds. Cover with cellophane and let steep for at least 20 minutes.
Meanwhile: Juice at least 5 lemons
1 orange, (double this for more).
Then get a pitcher add some ice, and strain the syrup into it with a chinois or fine strainer. (you can re-use this lavendar if you want)
Then pour in the lemon juice and oj and stir.
If you like, a vodka martini can be a therapeutic rendition from this by getting a shaker and adding 2 shots of vodka, add the lemonade with extra ice, shake and pour into a martini glass or over ice in a bucket glass.
